02 – Antes de / Después de + verb (part 2) w/ reflexives
¡Hola! In this video lesson, we’ll be reviewing what we talked about in the last video about antes de (before) and después de (after). We’ll also be throwing in reflexive verbs and how to change them after antes de / después de. This video might be little more advanced for some. If you’ve been working on the basics, there might be some lessons in between that you would need before proceeding. Hope it’s helpful!

For the te secas el pelo and te banas example wouldn’t you bathe yourself before drying your hair and dry your hair after bathing yourself?

Hola Sr. Jordan
Thank you very much for your answer to all my questions before.
Do all the verbs need to stem change if they contain more than one vowels (not include the end ar/ir/er) ?
thanks

Your question puzzles me. I’d never really thought about that.
Someone kind of explains why they stem change here:

Sr. Jordan, me encantan mucho sus videos….muchisima gracias por compartiendo (or is it just compartir?? )
He visto el video sobre los reflexivos y tengo unas dudas
1. es posible decir yo cepillo mis dientes?? podemos usar esta frase en vez de yo me cepillo los dientes?
2. Como se usa antes de y despues de con los reflexivos para la forma vosotros.
gracias
Ramya

Ramya,
Thanks for your comment and questions…
For your first question, I already answered that in a comment: here
For your second question, the vosotros forms in the present would be:
(-ar verbs) os laváis la cara – you all wash your faces
(-er verbs) os veis en la fiesta – you all see each other in the party
(-ir verbs) os dormís – you all fall asleep
with antes de and después de, we would use the verbs in the infinitive (ending in r) and adding the os to the end…
ex:
¿Os secáis antes de vestiros u os vestís mojados?
Do you all dry off before getting dressed or do you all get dressed wet?
¿Nunca os bañáis antes de acostaros?
You all never take a bath before going to bed?
