In this video lesson, we’ll be going over the question: ¿A qué hora…? (At what time? / When?).  We’ll also learn how to answer questions with that phrase in them.

Vocabulario:
¿A qué hora…? – At what time…? / When?
a la(s)… – at…
empieza – It begins, it starts
termina – It ends

¿A qué hora empieza la escuela? - When does school start?
¿A qué hora termina la escuela? - When does school end?
¿A qué hora empieza el concierto? - When does the concert start?
¿A qué hora termina el concierto? - When does the concert end?
¿A qué hora empieza la película? - When does the movie start?
¿A qué hora empieza la fiesta? - When does the party start?

La escuela empieza a las ocho de la mañana. - School starts at 8:00 AM.
a las ocho de la mañana.
– at 8:00 AM
La esucela termina a las tres y media de la tarde. – School ends at 3:30 PM.
a las tres y media de la tarde. – at 3:30 PM
El concierto empieza a las ocho de la noche. - The concert starts at 8:00 PM
a las ocho de la noche. – at 8:00 PM

There is a small mistake in the movie at 2:45, the 3:45am changes magically to 3:45pm.

Yeah. I noticed that too – but the video is great. I’m learning a lot from watching these. Wish I had money to pay you Senor Jordan.

manana transforms into noche.

Quick question. You showed us a third way to tell time in the previous video, the Son minutes para las horas. I was wondering if in the last example you could answer:

La pelicula empieza a cuarto para las cuatro de la mañana.?
