Hola, Señor Jordan – I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the time and effort you have put into your videos. I recently found them on youtube and am now showing them in my 7th and 8th grade beginning Spanish classes to reinforce the lessons. (Even if I say almost the exact same thing, students still enjoy seeing it on a video.) I would prefer if you could include the “vosotros” form on your verb videos because we are required to teach it in our school district, even if students won’t use it much, but I can’t complain since you are so generous to share your work with us. The explanations are very clear and the examples are extremely useful.
muchas gracias,
Cally (Doña Cali)

Thank you for your videos. I am a Spanish 101 student and struggle with each new step. Your videos are simple and informative. I truly appreciate them!

Hola Senor Jordan, Hey I just wanted to let you know that your videos are very helpful to me and my classmates here at the University of California San Diego. We’re taking Spanish 2 and it’s all about immersion, no English allowed in class. It’s good on one hand but on the other I need a good solid understanding of the grammar rules. So that’s where you come in. Thanks a lot and keep it up. Your work is very appreciated. Gracias y que te vaya bien!

If you need random example sentences for the por y para video–just email me. I have ended up making many worksheets/example sheets on that concept. My students got it after we spent an extra day on it. They were so happy!

In case you would like some feedback on the videos that you are planning, I’d really be interested in numbers 6 and 7, which are por vs. para, and ¿Qué? vs. ¿Cuál?. No hurry though, because I’m very busy with other parts of your fantastic website.

Hi,
My name is Tina Holman and I am starting a Spanish class on Wednesday. I am very excited about it. I have wanted to learn spanish for a long time. In preparation for the class I have been trying to learn the alphabet and numbers. In trying to find videos I came across yours. They are great and have been very helpful. I wanted to ask if there is an order them starting at basic spanish? I did look at one of the color videos but all of it was in spanish so I kind of got the idea but some of it I couldn’t figure out.
Thank you so much.
Tina

By Sra. Tamara, February 1, 2011 @ 12:03 am
Hola Señor Jordan!
Me llamo Señora Tamara (to mis estudiantes) Again, I appreciate your time and efforts in teaching Spanish; I use your video lessons for my students here in Tanzania. I have many of them linked to our blogs so my students can practice on their own (3, 4, 5th grader elementary students who are muy entusiasticos for Spanish language learning). I also have shared your links w/ many of my colleagues back in Colorado. Check out our blogs at: latamaritabonita.wordpress.com and istlanguages.wordpress.com
I hope our classes can become ‘amigos’ and share more ideas! It would be very cool if on your website you could list ‘otros sitios de red’ that are teaching/blogging in the name of Espanol learning.
I think your efforts are FANTASTICAS ~ Keep up the good work & dedication!!

Loving your site and videos. Can you tell me how you make your videos, they look so professional. Your T Shirts are cool too they make me smile!
You said you were going to put a video on every week, there hasnt been any on for a while. An area where I struggle with Spanish is when to use ‘me/ te / le’ and I get really confused as to where it appears in relation to the verb. For example ‘ayudame’ means ‘help me’ but doesn’t ‘me ayudas’ also mean ‘help me’ ??! Would be forever greatful if you could help me understand where to place the ‘me te le’ before or after the verb.

Thanks so much for your videos. I am taking an intensive Spanish 101 class this summer – and your videos are saving my sanity.

Sr. Jordan, Thanks for the videos. I have wanted to do a series like this forever as a way to help students outside of class when they struggle. You have saved me a lot of time. I love your videos and the organization of your website. They are a great in class resource. I have 100 min. classes and these really break up the longer periods, reinforcing the lesson. Even outside of the classroom, I recommend your website to friends who express their interest in learning Spanish. ¡Bien hecho!
By Nathan, May 31, 2011 @ 3:01 pm
Thanks, your videos have helped me with my Spanish so much.

Querido Señor Jordan,
Your website is INSPIRATIONAL. Thank you! I’m would love if you would consider sharing with me your general class format, that is, the activities you and students do from the time your students enter your classroom, i.e. , attendance, Do Now, submit/review homework, lesson for the day etc.

It’s called STOP the ELF and I would like to show it to you!

T (ime)
O (rigin)
P (rofession)
the
E (star)
L (ocation)

It kinda works as an acrostic poem

¡Hola Señor Jordan!
I am currently a high school senior studying Spanish 2. I love the videos you post. They are very helpful and always seem to make things click in this “math and science” head of mine. Anyways, in my Spanish 2 class we are going over los mandatos– informales y formales– tú, Ud. y Uds. I noticed that you didn’t have any videos on this and thought that it/they would be really helpful.
¡Muchas Gracias!

I can’t tell you how much your videos help me in my classes. Even if I teach something the same way you would explain it, seeing a video on a screen is sometimes more impressive than a live and direct teacher standing in front of my high school students. Also, they get bored with me, and having your videos shake things up a bit. I teach all the way from freshman heritage speakers to Spanish 5 honors students and they love your videos. Some are a bit goofy, but awesome nonetheless! Keep up the awesome job!
