Sobre este sitio

Hola.

—————————————————————————

Hi. I’m Señor Jordan and this blog is for my students as well as for anyone else interested in learning Spanish.  I want my lessons to be free for you all and I don’t earn money from doing this either.  It is strictly to share  the language that I love with you.  I’m going to be posting Spanish videos to help everyone I can.  I hope you enjoy.

You can expect new videos each Monday.

Feel free to leave comments, questions or suggestions.

    Hola Jordon!

Thanks so much for your site. I am a beginner and have taken only 5 classes–but your videos are more helpful than my classes. They are clear and upbeat. Your students are very fortuate.

    Mucho gracias!

    Estimado profesor Jordan,
    Cordialmente,
    Maria Catalina Reilly

    Hi Professor Jordon

You are a very talented teacher. I am a retired Professor of Information System, San Francisco State University and wanted to learn Spanish.

I have searched through many Spanish lesson videos through Google and YouTube search. Your videos and lessons are the very best — even better than Rosetta Stone demo and some Spanish Lesson CDs I have bought.

I hope you will make a CD of your lessons and sell them! In the meantime, I will learn from your website.

    Thanks You.

    Gracias

    Hi Jordan,
I just discovered your youtube and website. I love it and I am very grateful for your effort to provide such a great learning tool.
I am 1/2 Puerto Rican who never learned Spanish as a child. I’m nearly 60 now and have been working at it seriously now for several years. I keep trying to find new places where I can learn more. It appears your website will be a real blessing. Thanks so much for your time and willingness to do it all for free. That will help many who do not have the resources that many Spanish learning websites require. God bless. Terry

I’m just starting to learn Spanish and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your efforts. This is a great thing you are doing of your own volition.

    Best wishes from Canada!

I have been interested in learning spanish for some time. I havent been in school for years. It all seems so overwhelming to me. I have been in search of a “program” that I feel comfortable with. I came across your site through you tube this evening. I watched one of your videos, read the information here on your site and feel that there may be hope for me at last. Wish me luck.

¡Que bueno! Primero, encontré tus videos en YouTube. Después, seguí el link a tu página web. Debes estar muy orgulloso. ¡¡Estoy realmente impresionada y seriamente CELOSA!!

Cada vez que viajo intento hacer mini videos y traer la cultura a mi clase, pero I really like where you are going with all of the grammar topics. “You tube” is blocked in my school but I hope to be able to connect to your video through the website. Thanks!

I’m really enjoying these lessons. You are so clear and easy to follow. My In-laws are Spanish and keen for me to learn. As an adult that is a challenge! Your videos are really fabulous in-between my lessons as an extra resourse demonstrating the same topic in a different way.
    Please do keep going.

I just discovered your videos, and immediately watched the one on direct objects, which have been confusing me for months. And now I understand! I’m trying to learn spanish on my own, and planning to retire to Mexico around the end of this year. Muchisimas gracias for making this wonderful resource available – I know it’s going to help me a lot!

    Hi Jordan,
I love your video’s! Couple of years ago i’ve been taking Spanish lessons at school, but everything is gone by now. With the help of your videos its coming back real quickly!
Thanks a lot, your students must be happy to have a teacher like you! It’s great that sources like this are easy available for anyone :)
Take care, and keep on doing what yr doing!

    Hey there Professor Jordan!
This is AMAZING! Thank you for your hardwork, it is making a great impact in my spanish learning. I used to teach science in Oakland but am currently gypsing around Argentina. Your videos are better than the spanish class I paid ridiculous amounts of money for, again, thank you. As a teacher I recognize an excellent educator when I see one – your students are blessed. I will be an avid subscriber! As I am currently starving artist status I will try to donate once I drum up some extra cash via playing my guitar in the subte station : )
I have lots of questions – is this the best way to contact or do you have a different email address?
Keep changing the world through positive education and music…

    Hi Senor Jordan…

I just started using your videos in my Spanish classes to teach my kids direct objects and irregular preterit tense. You are great. And you’re very cute! When I projected the direct object video onto the board today.. my students laughed at me when I drew a heart around your face. Jajaja. Thanks for your help. :)

    Jordan,

At one point in YouTube I saw a link to your “How I Make My Videos” but I cannot re-locate it. Can you help? Thanks.

  25. By Cathrine, December 15, 2009 @ 2:43 pm

I´m right now in Spain to study Spanish for 2 months. I get more out of listening to your video than listening to my teacher. Your videos are much better than those I bought in Denmark.

I’m glad I found you on the web. I hope that you soon start to use VOSOTROS in your videos.

Thank you for your help, I hope that you released CDs.

    I will recommend you.

    ¡Hola!

I didn’t notice a video regarding how to say what the weather is like. If you don’t have one, making one on this subject would be very helpful. The clips on telling time were very good.
I’ve given your website to everyone in my Spanish study group at our Senior Center because they are quite clear and easy to understand, and the subject matter stays in our minds! Thanks again for all the time involved in doing this.

    Hola Señor Jordan!

I just wanted to tell you how awesome I think it is that you are making and sharing these videos with the world. I just graduated and this is my first year teaching Spanish, and I am so thankful to have access to your resources. I have been posting links to your youtube tutorials on my website so that students can use them as a refresher when they are studying or absent from class. They have all found them very useful for studying for tests and quizzes. I just discovered your actual website, and I would be happy to make a donation come my next paycheck. :)

    Thanks again!

    Muchas gracias.

Hello and thanks for the great website! It has proven very helpful in my spanish studies. There is, however, a subject that I find a little confusing and am looking forward to seeing in the (hopefully) near future. It’s the indirect/direct object relationship that sometimes has me scratching my head. I look forward to seeing new videos in the future, and I’ll tell all my classmates to check out the site. P.S. The “pollo” shirt is a hit everywhere I go :)

  38. By Krys, April 28, 2010 @ 2:43 pm

    Hello Sr. Jordan,

I work in a senior community where I help a group of residents to learn Spanish using your videos. We all love them, thank you very much for making them available! I would love to know if your videos can be purchased in DVD format, for those who would like to practice on their own but do not own computers. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hola Jordan!

I’ve started taking classes recently because I am going on a Cuban and South American adventure later this year! I live in Australia, and I think it can be harder to learn a language like Spanish as there are not so many opportunities to practise and hear Spanish. Your videos are the absolute perfect way for me to keep up my learning and enthusiasm!

They are succinct but well-planned and as a primary school teacher I fully appreciate how much time and effort it takes for you to do this as well as prepare/teach/mark for your classes.

    Keep up the excellent work,
    Muchisimas gracias! :>)

    Hola Sr. Jordan.

And I was able to impress my friend in Spain with my spanish and I learned all those from your videos. Keep it up. :)

Hola Sr. Jordan! Muchas Gracias for your video. Very useful, They help me a lot. Your style is quite clear and sharp, easy to understand and remember. I search for a long time to see the class like this, at last I found you in YouTube. Please don’t stop your lesson, OK?
(I’m from Bangkok – Thailand who interesting in spanish but too old to join in the classroom – I’m 43 years). Very big thanks again!!! And I’ll try my best with your lesson.

    Hola :)

I just wanted to thank you for providing such an excellent resource. I had taken four years of spanish and one year of latin, but I haven’t taken spanish in a couple years. I tested into the intermediate spanish class at Georgia Institute of Technology, and thanks to you I’m certain that I won’t get demoted to the beginner class that doesn’t count for a humanities credit on the first day :D .

    Muchas Gracias!
    Chloe
