Hey everyone! I’ve been super busy working on various projects behind the scenes. But I wanted to do something for Youtube again. I decided to resurrect one of my favorite YouTube series: Cuentas Conmigo, where you can add in details as you watch and help me make a story.
Here’s the newest storyline!
I’m also making materials (see first episode’s for free) for teacher’s to download to offset the cost of production of the videos! I hope you can use them in your classes or to practice as you learn Spanish!
So something I’ve always wanted to learn since I started my video project was Adobe Flash. They have since renamed it to Adobe Animate and I was given the opportunity this semester to work on a special project for a company. They wanted me to make a commercial for them.
Check it out!
I know I have felt like Dumpy Dan before, personally! Well, minus the sharks. 🙂 Read more…
I’ve been wanting to redo a lot of my oldest videos. It just so happens that Lucas and I were able to make one. But he was a little self-conscious about how he looks lately so he decided we should try to pull it off as cartoons! Hope you enjoy.
So in this video, we’ll talk about Los meses or “the months”.
I think it has a nice blend of information, basic Spanish, other Spanish phrases, and droll humor.
Here’s a collaboration that has been in the works since May of this year.
I reached out to Alejandra from the Youtube channel Ale Pro Makeup 96 to make a video on getting ready for an occasion since she does a lot of makeup vids.
I made a guide to go along with the video for you to follow along if you would like (see below).
She speaks fast and has a lot of words she uses. And some words are specialized. Things I noticed a lot were: clothing words, colors, parts of the face, words for make-up, yo form, future tense
Of course there are other phrases in the video as well!
Hope you like it! And if you do, check out Ale’s youtube channel to practice Spanish in context!
Extra help: If you’d like a helpful packet of activities to go along with the video and break it down, download it for FREE here!
Here’s a new video with Cartoony Señor Jordan that goes over some of the common forms of ser(to be) in context with different physical description words!
And there is a word bank at the end of the video if it helps!
If you haven’t seen the storytelling series: Cuentas Conmigo that I did this spring with anyone that wanted to participate, something that I love when I do those stories is how they push me in the creative process.
For example, I needed to make a sequence where the ninja jumps and kicks another character. And I had to dabble in some actual animation.
I think it turned out well!
This inspired me for a video on adverbs that I haven’t made yet but someone requested a long time ago!
So I thought that I could throw in some animations with Juan Cena into the video.
Here’s what I came up with so far today while experimenting with character animation.
What do you think!?
Here’s Juan dancing the robot.
And here’s him singing a catchy little diddy.
Look out for the new video on forming adverbs sometime before September!
Here’s a fun little song I came up with to help with colors, animals and some high frequency words!
Let me know what you think!
Some asked for a coloring sheet to use with the video. Here are two different ones. Let me know if you had a better idea for how I could make them. I figured in one they could write the colors in and in the other they can just colors in the colors and the animals!
I also wrote a Super Simple Reader based on the vocabulary from this song if you would like to download it to read or print off for your classes! B&W versions also available if you’d like to have your little ones color it. 🙂 Read more…
This video was for a group presentation at their request. Maybe you can still find it helpful? I tried to have fun while making it because life’s too short!
¡Hola! Someone commented on Twitter that it would be nice if there were a song helping with that pesky concept known as: Preterite Vs Imperfect. As you probably know by now, they are both past tenses with different uses and meanings! We cover those in this song!
